Arsenal - Olympiacos 2-0 29.09.2009 09.29.2009 Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was full of praise for the manner in which his players dominated their UEFA Champions League clash against Olympiakos. The Gunners were in full control versus the Greek champions but risked only earning a point after poor finishing threatened to let them down. However, Robin van Persie struck in the 78th minute before Andrey Arshavin bagged a late goal to earn a second win in as many games in Group H. Wenger, who will celebrate 13 years in charge in North London on Thursday, hailed his players, labelling the level of their performance 'outstanding'. He told Sky Sports: "I believe we played a great first half and of course had plenty of chances, at that level. "When we couldn't maintain that flow, that pace, in the second half, I knew that the difference would be made in the last 20 minutes. "Then of course it is a case of discipline, patience and fitness. I think in the end the legs were a bit heavy, but we maintained because we wanted to win so much. "You always want your team to take every chance but you also know that is not always possible. But I am encouraged by the way we dominated the game - that is something outstanding at that level. "It is of course frustrating when you don't take complete advantage of it [dominating] but it is very positive."
